Cardio-Thoracic Surgery

Founded in mid-2004, the Cardiac surgery department of Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital Hospital boasts a strong team, the members of which are veterans in their fields who have gained considerable professional experience in cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia, and ICU care, both inland and abroad. The infrastructure has two states of the art Cardiac Surgical Operating Theaters and a dedicated Cardiac ICU with 8 individually monitored beds. The ICU staff nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 during all shifts. For renal failure patients requiring heart surgery, we have the facility to perform hemodialysis (i.e. CRRT, SLED) in our Cardiac ICU.
